The Blog Community (Blog Links)

When I started my first blog (the one hit wonder), I never dreamed that becoming a part of the blog world would help inspire me to never give up.  After the loss of my 2 sons Peyton and Peter, I found a couple of support group sites and the women on those sites helped me realize that my way of grieving wasn't wrong.  One day I would be okay, within the next 10 minutes I would be crying hysterically.  I found out this was normal.  I loved those groups and women for their support.  They helped me find others that I felt like truly understood my pain and they let me know that I was not alone in this battle and that there was hope.  My family and friends were great (well that is not exactly true, but it looks good when I write it), but they could only say they were sorry so many times.  I NEVER want anyone to ever experience the pain of losing a child.  I pray that all parents experience the joy of bringing home healthy babies that will live forever.  I hate that there are families who go through this pain everyday.  So when I see the blogs and read the entries of the support groups, it breaks my heart that they understand my pain, but our banning together to find the answers and solutions, sharing our faith and hope has been invaluable to me during this loss of Lauren.

I worked on Lauren's memory page and spent ALL night crying. I will try to finish it by tomorrow.  Also, I promise that this blog is going to be a happy blog and not just a sad blog, so bear with me.

I am adding these links (honestly, so I won't forget them), but also they may help you if you are going through something too.

Daring to Dream Again,
Von

Links to Blog Entries that Have Helped Me Through This Journey

Hope in The Waiting - I actually found this blog a couple of days prior to losing Lauren.  I read about her journey of losing her son.  Her faith helped me the day that I lost Lauren.  I began to sing the song that she sang as she learned her son had died, when the doctors told us they couldn't do anything else for Lauren.  Her faith walk is inspiring.  An inspiring blog entry - Going Deeper

Kelly's Korner- I think Kelly is the queen of blog land.  A couple of blogs that I read would always mention Kelly, but I never saw her blog until I was in the hospital.  Her blog is where I found out about a few of the blogs in this list.  I didn't realize that she is also a woman whose faith has helped her through a loss.  An inspiring blog entry - Getting Real

Dusty and Amy - I just found this blog today and this is what actually inspired me to write today's blog  entry.  An inspiring blog entry - Getting Real

Leslie Joy Evans - This blog gave me a deeper appreciation for life.  Sometimes when you are grieving you lose sight of things.  This blog reminded me not to lose sight.  It is a heartbreaking story.

Mostly Sweet - I have been following her since I met her at the adoption ceremony of one of my friends' children.  Her family is a foster family for newborns waiting to be placed with their adoptive families.  During the recent months, her mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and their faith through this journey has been truly inspiring.

The following blogs are stories of women that have a
